What it’s about:
Kate Turner is 34 and single and looking for love before the holidays. She decides to sign up with a dating service on their twelve dates of Christmas campaign. She will go on twelve dates with twelve different men to see if she can find a love match. But unfortunately, each date is worse than the one before. Will she find new love before the holidays? Or will she realize that maybe she didn’t have to look outside of her own sleepy English village to find it.
Why I liked it:
If you read my reviews, you know that I am a big fan of the rom com at Christmas time. When stress levels are high, I need my reading to be light and fun. And this book fit that bill. Kate is a modern, talented woman who lives in an old fashioned, small English village, where everyone knows everyone’s business. Kate’s best friend is Matt, who owns the coffee shop in the village center. As she goes through all of her dates, she begins to realize that it’s Matt she loves. Matt, however, is already dating a very nice woman that Kate really likes.
Kate’s dates are extremely funny and the descriptions of the sleepy English village portray a perfect Christmas scene – very Hallmark-like! If you are looking for a fun, holiday romance, this book is for you!
