On hot summer weekends, my husband and I like to sit on our patio and relax with a cool and refreshing drink. Sometimes we kick back with a nice of glass of wine; sometimes we just feel like a beer. And sometimes we like to try something different. This summer, I found this recipe for a Berry Mule and it has become one of our favorite weekend beverages!
I can’t take credit for this drink recipe. I found it on the Great Lakes Brewing Co website. You can find the original recipe here. We did make some slight tweaks. First, we used raspberry-infused vodka instead of the plain vodka. That really helped the berry flavor. We also used frozen mixed berries as a garnish to look pretty, taste delicious and keep the drink nice and cold.
We love Great Lakes Beer at our house. It’s a local brewery for us and fun to visit, and I absolutely love their beer – especially the seasonal ones. Hope you enjoy this drink as much as we do!
¼ oz. lime juice
1.5 oz raspberry infused vodka
3 oz ginger beer
3 0z Great Lakes Holy Moses Raspberry White Ale
Mint
Frozen mixed berries
A lime for garnish
Mix well the lime juice, vodka, ginger beer and raspberry white ale in a glass. Swirl in ice and frozen mixed berries. Garnish with some mint and a wedge of lime.
Mmmmm Moscow Mules of any kind are my absolute favorite drink. Great idea with the raspberry!
Yes! They are so yummy. We love these when it’s super hot outside. Enjoy!
